Why are meetings broken and how to involve the team to achieve clarity and results?
We opened the autumn season of Growth Minutes and the opening show featured Elisabeth Purga, meeting designer, trainer and founder of Eduist. The host this time is Futurist partner and workshop facilitator Tiina Hiller.
Together with Elisabeth, we focused on why our meetings and work discussions are often broken and do not allow us to do our work better and enjoy it.
We talked about how to create inclusive and forward-looking discussions where teams move from chaos to clarity and from challenges to solutions.
Elisabeth is also an andragogue, or adult learning expert, so we also talked about why inclusion is critical in both training and development projects.
🎧 Listen to the show and find out:
👉 why our meetings are broken and what is the alternative,
👉 how to avoid typical meeting pitfalls (dominant voices, fear of making mistakes, vagueness of purpose),
👉 how to unleash the true potential of the team through engagement,
👉 how to distinguish when a meeting is enough and when a workshop is needed,
👉 why facilitation is a future skill for every leader and team member,
👉 how one small post can lead from idea to innovation.
We also looked into the future, whether AI will change meetings and discussions, what role technology plays, and why a human facilitator remains indispensable even in the age of technology.
📻 Listen if you want to know how to make your team meetings and workshops a truly functional collaboration tool, not a time waster.
